Elijah Jak

Elijah Jak will take you on a unique sound journey as he weaves together finger-style melodies on a nylon string guitar, driven along by the subtle beat of a stomp box, conjuring up sounds that are reminiscent of Jose Gonzales and Nick Drake.

Describing his sound, he says, “This project feels very authentic for me, harking back to my roots as an acoustically-driven folk singer-songwriter, creating simple but emotionally-moving material with just a guitar, some words and a voice.”

Having had a rich and diverse musical background as a multi-instrumentalist, playing in bands both in Australia and the UK, Eli took an extended hiatus from music for a few years. In 2023, he started writing new music for a solo project and ‘tested’ this material on audiences at Woodfordia’s monthly Folk Club night throughout last year. He is now ready to share this project with wider audiences.
