Bluesuits Quartet

The Bluesuits Quartet formed in 2021 after playing together as a rhythm section in their high school big band. Since then the group has explored the dynamic nuances of performing in a small group jazz ensemble.

Comprised of Rohan Sweeney, Jeremy Vanderbyl, Sam Patterson and Tom Horton, the quartet has been heavily influenced by 60's small groups such as The Bill Evans Trio, Wes Montgomery Quartet, Miles Davis Quartet and the John Coltrane Quartet. Performing at venues such as the Brisbane Jazz Club, Queensland Multicultural Centre, Oceanview Winery Estate and the Marist College Ashgrove Tower Art Show, as well as for private functions, the group has grown to explore genres such as bossa nova, funk, fusion and modal jazz.

At the 2022 Soirée, the audience can expect to hear the Quartet perform notable jazz compositions by artists such as Miles Davis and the fusion collective Vulfpeck.
